DIY Rep Elections

This document provides a simple, easy to use tool for union delegates and members in small workplaces to go through the whole process of initiating the setting up a worker participation system right through to the election and registration for training of H&S reps.

If the organisation you work for employs more than 30 people, and has done for six months, then a default system for electing health and safety reps applies under the Health and Safety in Employment Act. This system can be reviewed at any time, and a new system agreed on by workers, their unions, and the employer.
